We invite you to join in partnership with Angels in Action (non-profit) and the Salt Lake Community College Veterans Center to Thank Our Veterans for their service to our County. Show them they are in our hearts. We will share valentines with those who have served or still are on Active Duty, National Guard or Reserve Service.
Our Goal is 10,000 valentines and candy this year.
You can assist in ANY OR ALL of the ways listed below!
**Create Homemade Valentine’s Day cards-tens-hundreds-or thousands. Be creative! Invite your church groups, schools, communities, clubs, friends and family members of ALL ages to write or draw a message of gratitude for the Veterans for their service to our Country and Freedom. Share your message of love support and appreciation.
**Donate candy (candy hearts are fun), suckers, jerky, individual packs of tuna or chicken, and Lip Balm (Bert’s Bees products don’t melt). We would like enough fun treats to send to our Active Duty Military members.
** Donate cash to purchase candy, postage, and items for the Hero Packs (see next item listed below).
** Purchase or sell Our Valentines for $1.00 each (contact us) and write your message on the valentine. Money will be used in partnership with Operation Military Kids to make Hero Packs for children of deployed parents.
***Completed Valentines and donations can be picked up, delivered or mailed to:
SLCC, Veterans Center, 4600 So Redwood Rd, STC 059, PO Box 30808, SLC, UT 84130
OR- Darlene Head Goldman 12125 Lampton View Dr, Riverton, UT 84065
We are packaging valentines and candy to be mailed to our Active Duty Troops overseas now and will be taking Valentines to Veterans in the hospital, 3 nursing homes and Veterans Homeless shelters.
